Medical Director
Laci Thornton, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Laci started her career as a nursing assistant while still in high school. She worked her way up the nursing ranks and during the same time became a proud mother to her two children, Hayden and Korbin. She received her master’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, where she graduated with honors while working full-time.
At CFS, Laci was an integral part of the team that led our company to Joint Commission accreditation – and has developed all integrated healthcare services to date with the implementation of a wellness team. She has supported CFS’s mission and vision by expanding the health services delivered to all the youth we have served. Researching what is needed for the future of healthcare and teaching others is all in a day’s work for Laci. She has a strong passion for teaching others and strives to make a positive impact on those around her.
As a family nurse practitioner, Laci delivers care with empathy, integrity, and advocacy in the forefront of her mind! Although Laci is able to prescribe medication as a viable option, she encourages the holistic approach of listening and educating her patients on alternatives before resorting to medication. Laci is a firm believer that her patients need to understand why they are taking medication, and she discusses with them how they feel about their personalized treatment plan.
